  PERSONALITY    : cocky and intelligent, sagra is a man who's charisma and confidence are both his greatest strength and greatest weakness. he is quick to jump into trouble and danger-- often without much of a second thought for the consequences that may follow. even so, he is not completely unreasonable-- easily listening to reason and guidance from those around him.

  APPEARANCE    : though he stands tall over most of his peers, sagra could be described as short for an au ra. his blue skin and dark scales mark him as xaela-- though his most striking features are his pure-white hair and missing eye.if one were to compare him to his twin brother, dagun, they would see that the two of them are a perfect mirror of each other.

Biography

from his name alone, one would assume that sagra hails from the azim steppe-- the home of the xaela. however, this assumption is not entirely correct. though sagra and his brother, dagun, once called those lands home... they have not done since they were four years old.the garlean empire had succeeded in their conquring of doma-- and their eyes were soon set upon the azim steppe and its tribes of xaela. though the wilds would prove too much for the garlean soldier, their presence would still leave scars upon the steppe's inhabitants. perhaps the soldiers believed that they were liberating the children of the steppe, sending them to the provinces for a better life than they could ever hope for among the steppe... but it did not change that children, such as these twins, were torn away from their homes.the saving grace for sagra and dagun was the fact that they were not thrust upon an airship to be taken elsewhere. instead the garlean soldiers' decision to put them upon a seafairing vessel would ultimately be what gained them their freedom-- after all, the pirates of the confederacy still enforced the ruby tithe against the empire in those days.and with the tithe unpaid, the empire's ships were free to target and plunder-- and targeted they were by a ship captained by a Hrothgar man named maksim-- A former resident of the city of bozja who left to find better work through piracy and smuggling-- often smuggling goods to those who remained in the city, beneath the thumb of the garlean empire.though the attack on the garlean vessel in the ruby sea was personal, he did not anticipate finding a pair of children aboard that vessel. though the two were terrified, taken from their homes, maksim would take the twins under his wing-- and, uncertain if their parents were still alive on the steppe, he made the decision to raise them himself aboard his ship; the corsair.over the years, the twins would grow accustomed to ship life-- and though they did not share blood, there was no denying that maksim was their father-- and as the hrothgar laid upon his death bed he made the decision to leave the ship and its crew to his boys in equal parts: they always did work better as a team. and they were both equally important to him.

the two would take over the corsair in their father's stead-- carrying on the work that he had taught them from a young age. though they maintained connections with the confederacy in the ruby sea, they would continue to smuggle goods into bozja-- and, eventually, they would make their way into the seas near eorzea.order was maintained upon the ship with its two captains-- until one day it all fell apart. it was sudden and unprecedented; a life spent together, trusting each other with everything, was torn apart with the single movement of a blade as dagun stabbed his brother in the chest.he barely missed sagra's heart-- but that did not stop him from falling overboard.by some miracle sagra would find himself washed up upon the shores of vesper bay-- between thanalan and la noscea. from here he would eventually make his way to ul'dah, uncertain of what to do with himself after such a painful betrayal.while in the city sagra would come in contact with the thaumaturges' guild-- and through their training would find a greater hold on his intense magical abilities. the realization that he was close to burning himself up from the inside out was not a pleasant one-- but with the proper training and understanding of magic, it was now preventable.in time sagra would come to the correct conclusion about what happened between him and his brother-- his untamed magic had created a rift into the void-- from which a voidsent emerged and chose his twin brother as a host. though there was little that sagra could do with this knowledge for some time, as his brother remained out at sea--in the meantime, he would be dragged into the activites of the scions of the seventh dawn to his manifestation of the echo-- and it was with this fateful encounter that his story, as well as the story of the fate of the star, would begin.

  PERSONALITY    : much like his sundered self, castor was a man who was equal parts cocky and intelligent-- though he had little impulse control, he held enough academic renown to be noticed by mitron. perhaps it was his drive to learn, no matter the cost-- perhaps it was his willingness to dive head-first into a problem in search of a solution. no matter the reason, he was destined to take her seat when she chose to return to the star.

  APPEARANCE    : following the customs of the ancient world, castor dons dark robes and a white mask to conceal his face-- though beneath said robes exists a rather handsome young man with dark skin and black hair.from behind his mask one can easily see the faint glow of mismatched eyes-- one a brilliant gold, while the other was a more subtle violet hue.
